今回私たちは、ダラスのギャラリーに招かれ、当神社で古代より伝承されてきた「つくし舞」を披露してきました。昨年のニューヨークでの公演に続き2年続けての米国での公演となります。フラワーアーティストの東 信(Azuma Makoto)さんによる、松をモチーフにした現代的なアートと、私たちの古代の舞とが見事に融合しました。感動で涙が出たとおっしゃっていたお客様もいて、大変良い文化交流の機会となりました。ところで、私たちの神社のエンブレムも松。松のお話しはまた別の機会に投稿します。
This time, we were invited to a gallery in Dallas and showed the “Tsukushi-mai” dance that has been passed down over the past 1600 years at our shrine. This made our second performance in the US in two years in a row, following the NY performance last year. The modern art with a pine motif by a flower artist Azuma Makoto and our ancient dance beautifully collaborated. By the way, the emblem of our shrine is a pine. We will post about the episode some other time.
