年末恒例の日本一大きな注連縄のお供えの準備がはじまりました。注連縄はその年のお米のワラを使って作るのですが、そのワラも特別のご神田（ごしんでん）と言う田んぼで作ります。11月に入ったら、地元の氏子達で作り始め、延べ1500人の手に拠って練られます。旧注連縄は12月17日に外され、参加者のみなさんの力を合わせて境内に運ばれ、日本一大きな注連縄が御神前に掲げられます。実はこの日本一大きな注連縄には、みんなから託されたお願いごとが藁と一緒に注連縄の中に納められ、１年間神前に供えられるのです。
We may find Shimenawa(Sacred Ropes) in many Shinto shrines and sanctuaries in Japan. Shimenawa separates the sacred place or area to the real world. The Shimenawa hanging on the shrine chamber of our shrine is one of the biggest Shimenawa of Japan. We replace the one to a new one every year. And, we exchange them on 19 December. Our shrine parishioners already started to work on making the new Shimenawa for the day of replacement.
