Hello everyone, this is Yume.
When you visit a shrine and pray to Kami (Deities) formally, you will need “Tamagushi.”
Tamagushi uses the branches of Japanese cleyera which the leaves are green all year round like the tree of Kami (Deities) and the branches are tied with zigzag-shaped paper streamers.
These Tamagushi are filled with each person’s wishes and used as offerings for prayers.
It is very important for shrines to have these prepared at all times, so the priests make these daily with fresh branches.
