菖蒲祭りを目前に控え、江戸菖蒲もだんだん見頃を迎えてきました。今年は例年より早めに咲き始めています。雨が降った翌日には一気に開花しますのでおすすめですよ。
そして今週末は菖蒲まつり。31日には初刈り神事が行われます。

Our Shinto shrine is famous for its Edo Japanese iris, which is in full bloom from May through June. Those lovely flowers and the ancient building make a good contrast to enjoy. The shrine has generally close connection with Japanese flower culture.
