Hello everyone, this is Yume.
Shichigosan (meaning 7, 5, 3) is a ritual to show Kami (Deities) that your child has grown up safely, to pray for further health and safety, and show appreciation.
At the age of 3, boys and girls begin to tie their hair known as the ritual of “Kamioki” (hair growing long). At the age of 5, boys wear hakama for the first time known as “Hakamagi” (wearing hakama). At the age of 7, girls begin to use the kimono belt known as “Obitoki” (untying the kimono cords).
So, our annual “Coloring Contest” will be held to celebrate along with the period of “Shichigosan.” We will be giving out the JR Kyushu Huis Ten Bosch round trip tickets and Huis Ten Bosch admission tickets as presents to 3 groups of parent and child, a total of 6 people by drawing lots from the works of children from 1 years old to 7 years old.
We will be waiting for your piece of work.
Please contact Miyajidake Shrine for more details.
