今日は日々の暮らしに密着した神社の光景。そう、車祓いです。交通安全を願うとき、自然と思いやりのある運転に対する気持ちも高まってきます。やさしい運転の人が増えるといいですね。
We have a custom to take a new car to a shrine when we buy one. At the shrine, we pray for the traffic safety with the car. The picture shows that our shinto-priest and a miko( a shrine maiden) performing the ritual to pray for the safe driving with the worshipper’s car at our shrine. We hope that more people will drive cars with tenderness and caring for others.
